Richard Lewis

Director
Town Centre Securities

After qualifying at the DV/VO, Richard joined Donaldsons to build their commercial office department in the North before moving to Knight Frank. After disposing of his own agency practice, Richard ran a small development company, successfully integrating it into a large public company. Richard joined Town Centre Securities in 2000 and is responsible for the development portfolio.

Town Centre Securities floated on the London Stock Exchange in September 1960 and has grown and diversified from specialising in retail property to investment and development; most activity is in the north of

England and Scotland. A key partner in the West End Partnership, Town Centre Securities is constructing the Whitehall Riverside – a mixed use development; including over 540,000 sq ft of office accommodation, café bars and sculpture features

Richard is available to comment on:

  • Corporate City - is Leeds' reputation as a financial and legal centre justified; is Leeds justifiably the UK's second city?
  • Space in Leeds - how do rents in Leeds compare to other cities?
  • Northern renaissance - are the business benefits of being out of the capital proving to be a draw?
  • Sustainability and business - what are the key drivers of business relocation; do decision makers look at green credentials?
