Rick de Blaby

Rick de Blaby has been the Chief Executive of MEPC Limited since 2005.

Educated at Bromsgrove School and Oxford Brookes University, Rick gained a BSc in Estate Management and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1982. In that time his activities have concentrated on property development with two sustained periods at listed Plc companies.

By the time of the late 1990’s, Rick was becoming much more involved in larger mixed use projects often on brownfield land sites with a strong urban regeneration influence. It is in this area of the industry where he holds a particular passion, reinforced by the more recent drive for ‘sustainability’ and the environmental, economic and social contributions that all regeneration should now provide.

MEPC and the Assets it holds are in a special position to accommodate people and organisations in attractive business communities. The large scale single ownerships which define MEPC’s holdings enable it to continually create, develop and evolve great places and it is Rick’s constant aim that the Company, and all its people, always seek to offer its customers and stakeholders the unique benefits that accrue from this position.

Rick also sits on the Board of Hermes Real Estate Investment Management and is an Oxford Brookes mentor. He also is a Director of BURA.

When not at work, Rick is a keen skier, an obsessional windsurfer, cyclist and coach to three young sons.
